What is a Snagging Survey?

A snagging survey is intended to check for problems with a new-build home.

The best time to have a snagging survey done is between building work being finished and your legal completion date, so the house builder has enough time to fix any issues before you move in.

Unlike traditional building surveys, a Snagging Survey covers minor issues, for example, doors that doesn't close correctly or a loose floor tile in the kitchen, to more serious structural problems.

The most common issues are to do with plastering, tiling, skirting boards, joinery and external brickwork.
